Dear Lennard,

I am from Ireland and time trial on a Cervelo P3 with mechanical 11-speed. To be able to ride the National TT championships, I need to be able to change to electronic gears to fit within the regulations.

I plan to switch to SRAM AXS 12-speed with a one-by setup. I plan to keep my Quarq Power Meter with 130mm BCD spider but am struggling to find a suitable 54 or 56 tooth chainring to run with an AXS flat top chain.

Do you have any suggestions? Can I run a KMC 12-speed chain with a normal 11-speed chainring?
Barry

Dear Barry,

So you want a 54x10 or 56x10 high gear? That’s a very high gear!

Allow me to explain to other readers why you will “change to electronic gears to fit within the regulations.”
